Are You a LuxePacker

08/06/08 20:11 Categories: Inner Journey
Are you a LuxePacker?

1. Do you think signing up for a “pre-packaged” tour or cruise is downright shameful?
2. Have you ever spent more money on your backpack than you spent for your flight abroad?
3. Have you ever asked the Four Seasons front desk to hold on to your road bike?
4. Have you unknowingly participated in ecotourism or voluntourism and discovered after your trip that you're part of the latest travel trend?
5. Do you detour franchises for the local delicacies?
6. Are you constantly seeking the road less travelled...with five star amenities?
7. Can you afford the road less travelled...with five star amenities?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above, you’re in good standing. Make yourself at home.

My three reasons for writing this blog.

1. To create a resource for folks like me that relish both Luxe and Packer travel experiences.
2. To create a record that captures my own journeys, both inner and abroad.
3. To create and maintain my very first blog.

What to expect from LuxePacker.

1. Luxe and Packer previews, insights and recommendations.
3. Reviews about my blogging tools and resources.
3. Occasional anecdotes about my own travels.

I also encourage like-minded folks to make their own contributions. If you've a strong opinion, unique insights or an announcement you think other LuxePackers would appreciate, please send it my way. Your offerings are most welcome.

And so we begin the LuxePacker journey.
