Pillow Talk

Urban Tool's perCushion

At first glance, I can't say I was overwhelmed with the usefulness of Urban Tool's perCushion showcased at HITEC (Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference). I'm a big fan of Apple and all, but does the world really need YAIA (yet another iPod accessory)? Upon closer inspection, I realized that this pillow had nothing to do with iPods and instead promotes pillow talk. That's always a good thing according to this LuxePacker. perCushion connects with a cell phone via Bluetooth and enables volume control, muting, initiating and ending a call. That means this cushion allows me to answer obscenely early morning phone calls...without leaving the comfort of my bed, or even removing my head from the pillow. I don't know whether this is a must-have feature for the ultimate guest experience. But for the moment, it's novel.
